Welcome to historic Mt. Hope and Roselawn Cemeteries and Mausoleum, and Mittendorf-Calvert Funeral Home. Established in 1856 Mt Hope is the oldest operating cemetery in the Champaign/Urbana area. Roselawn, originally named New Mt. Hope was established in 1906. The Mausoleum was added in the mid 1960’s and contains a peaceful chapel which is available for memorial services.

Throughout our grounds you will find many early pioneers to the community, University of Illinois notables, political figures and many war Veterans from every conflict.

The markers and monuments reflect the changing times and burial traditions of each generation. Our grounds are well tended and maintained with dignity and respect to those entrusted to our care. Come for a visit and enjoy the variety of trees that are homes to the small wildlife who make the cemetery their home.

Our mausoleum is the largest in the region and contains new cremation niche sections to accommodate cremation arrangements.

Mittendorf-Calvert Funeral Home is a long-time member of the Champaign-Urbana region offering funeral and cremation services to fit your family’s needs.

Combined with the Mt Hope Mausoleum cremation niches, we offer a full set of choices to meet your needs.  Our full-time staff are available Monday-Friday and during weekends by appointment.

We offer expert advice on pre-planning services.  Whether you choose pre-need or at-need cremation or traditional burials, we offer a full range of services for end-of-life care.
